Purpose Statement/ Mission Statement

Provides a guide to the Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic and the challenges it presents. Information and resources on the infestation itself, government Mountain Pine Beetle initiatives, and current research. The site has been divided into eight sections, each detailing an important aspect of the Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic: Overview, magnitude of the problem, controlling the spread, optimal harvesting, conservation, designing and developing new forest, building industrial and community capacity, products and markets, facilitating community adjustment, governance and policy.
