HISTORY: Graduated as a Registered Nurse (President of graduating class); Owned and operated a photography studio within the Village of Burns Lake; Realtor in the Lakes District for 10 years; First elected as a Councillor for the Village of Bums Lake in 1996; Participated in a wide variety of community programs as an active member/director.

CURRENT: Third term as Mayor for the Village of Bum Lake; Omineca Beetle Action Coalition - Executive Committee Member; College of New Caledonia Advisory Committee - Chair; Lakes Economic Development Association - Member/Director; Bums Lake and District Community Foundation - Chair; Lakes Legacy Fund Society - Chair; Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako - Director; Northern Development Initiative NW Regional Advisory Committee Representative; Lakes Public Advisory Group for Morice Lakes Innovative Forest Practices Agreement - Member

PERSONAL: Married (40 + years); Three grown children and three grandchildren; Interests: reading, music, quilting and political activities

MOUNTAIN PINE BEETLE INTEREST: Twelve years ago Council for the Village of Burns Lake wrote its first of many letters to the Ministry of Forests with the Provincial Government regarding the infestation; Lakes TSA is the epicenter of Mountain Pine Beetle infestation; Personally visited affected areas (via helicopter); Watched our community fall behind comparable communities in BC (due to MPB); Our Community is continually challenged (due to MPB) in areas of tourism, hydrology, silviculture, etc.; Constantly working on solutions to our social, economic and environmental situations
