Mayor Sandra Harwood Sandra Harwood has served the community of Fort St. James since the mid eighties. Elected as councillor from 1981 to 1983, she was then elected Mayor in four consecutive elections. In 1997, in her fourth term, she left her position to move yet further north and with her partner operated a logging camp, fishing and hunting lodge at Tchentlo on the Nation Lakes. She has served as a Director of the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako during her previous term as Mayor and is once again a member of the Regional District Board. She chairs the Regional Development Initiative Board for her area. Sandra is fully involved with new initiatives in her area, as a member of the Northern Development Trust Initiative Board and Director of the Omineca Beetle Action Coalition. |
