Title: Ensure On‐going Implementation of the Community Transition Toolkit
Date: December 2009

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project involves taking the necessary steps to ensure the Community Transition Toolkit is available and useful on an on‐going basis in the region. The toolkit was developed concurrent with the OBAC’s strategy work. It was a project undertaken jointly with the Community Development Institute (UNBC), actively supported by the Ministry of Community and Rural Development and partially funded by Western Diversification. The toolkit is a series of guides, best practices, checklists, contact information, and templates that help a community prepare for externally caused change. All local governments in the OBAC region have copies of the toolkit and have been provided with information about its use. It was piloted successfully in Mackenzie during its development.
